Finished rewriting the first episode of Crash and Burn.  The entire short film will be  four part series with each part being five minutes.  Got some great new ideas. First of all is a predicament we’ve found on earth. Oil Vs Water. Oil is actually one of the most prevalent liquids on the planet behind water. There is however a growing debate about how the earth makes it. Some scientists are saying it comes from Algae. Regardless we do know that it is Oil and Life don’t mix. There is a reason why Oil is underneath the surface of the earth just like Volcanic Magma. These are the fuels of the earth not the fuels of man.

Here is an excerpt from the script :

Crash sees the oil coming from the water and someting had been drug out from the lake into the road. Crash takes a handful of water and lets it slip through his fingers.

Oil Pollution. I leave the shit hole war in Iraq to find the America injecting itself with British darkness like a Black Tar Heroin Addict and his English Pimp…  War changes you. You’ve seen the whites of Evil’s eyes in the darkness.

NEW YORK (AFP) – This could give a whole new meaning to the phrase power dressing. Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have created a cloth that can hear and emit noise.
The team, led by MIT professor Yoel Fink, has reached “a new milestone on the path to functional fibers: fibers that can detect and produce sound,” MIT said in a statement.
The development, described in the August issue of Nature Materials, transforms the usual passive nature of textiles into a virtually all-singing, all-dancing version.
According to MIT, “applications could include clothes that are themselves sensitive microphones, for capturing speech or monitoring bodily functions, and tiny filaments that could measure blood flow in capillaries or pressure in the brain.”
The decade-old research project aims to “develop fibers with ever more sophisticated properties, to enable fabrics that can interact with their environment,” MIT said.
The new space-age cloth, it said, can not only listen, but make sound.
“You can actually hear them, these fibers,” Noemie Chocat, part of the lab team, said.
“If you connected them to a power supply and applied a sinusoidal current, then it would vibrate. And if you make it vibrate at audible frequencies and put it close to your ear, you could actually hear different notes or sounds coming out of it.”
The new fibers are based on a similar plastic to that used in microphones.
However, researchers manipulated the fluorine content to ensure its molecules stayed lopsided. That imbalance makes the plastic piezoelectric, meaning it changes shape when an electric field is applied.
“In addition to wearable microphones and biological sensors, applications of the fibers could include loose nets that monitor the flow of water in the ocean and large-area sonar imaging systems with much higher resolutions,” MIT said.
“A fabric woven from acoustic fibers would provide the equivalent of millions of tiny acoustic sensors.”

The Phoenix Project is more than a film. Its a media exploration mixing apparel with film. its been an incredible journey so far and we are now at the end of the most crucial phase. We got off the beaten path for a while to do other projects and have seen great work come to fruition but now is the time to finish what we started. Starting now I am putting down a Ascension Clock to countdown the finishing of Crash and Burn, the film that completes the Phoenix Project. December 21st 2010 is the completion date that i am committing to.

Thats 164 days to go! The Clock starts now! Day 1 on this final countdown i started rewriting the script. I became really excited to realize that the oil spill was a destined plot line to the project. Before, the movie was all about how fresh water in the world is not only running out and becoming scarce, but it is also being privatized. This privatization will manufacture scarcity even if we create the cost effective technology to purify salt water on a massive scale. Now, not only that, but the oil spill is killing the Ocean by increasing its Acidity Levels and destroying its Eco system. Where is the direction of our society? Oil or Water. Life or Death. Oil and Water don’t mix and because of selfishness, greed, corruption, fear, and the need for control our society is following a path to oil and a by product of that is the death of water and our life.

I talked to a powerful radio talk show personality who brings on influential guests from around the world who are leading their field in quantum physics and consciousness and he told me that the Oil Spill was a good thing because it can wake people up and change the current path we are on. He went on to say that we need a huge event to wake people up. While he was telling me this he also said that the Now, the present, determines your future and the choices you make now will manifest in the future. As he said that i randomly knocked over a dead stump in the grass that unleashed a hidden ant bed and the ants launched out in waves out of the hole in the ground. A sign? What was the significance of the dead bark and the huge buried colony of ants? What did the dead bark symbolize and what did the ants symbolize? Lots of deep constructs come to mind but the one i’m going with for this blog is that, while my friend is right, we need to use the Oil Spill to kick over the dead weight that is hiding the evil behind the scenes and lift the veil in order to release the secret ants and expose them, not to kill them, but to help them find their way to a more purified path. We must expose the truth. We must bring out those who have conspired to destroy our oceans and we must show them the effects of their destruction and help them to walk with us instead of walking against us. They are moving against the flow of life and are bringing not only destruction to us but themselves. If they only knew the effects of their actions they could be saved. Following this bizarre discovery the spark in the Phoenix project ignited. Perhaps, the film was meant to be about the OIl all along.

The Phoenix project is not a documentary, its also not designed to simply be a shocking conspiracy theory. However, art is truth and Crash and Burn is a artistic representation of the expression that i have surrounding the water supply and the oil spill. I believe that every every person’s word spoken and every gesture they wave can exemplifies a change of course in humanities future and, by doing so, has a profound impact on our species as a whole and thus we should not hide like ants under the dead wood. We need to Create and Express ourselves However we can. WE must embrace our Individuality and not get sucked into Group Think. We all contain the spirit of the Maverick and can shine light on everyone.

I am going to continue to be rewriting the film today and when it is done i am planning a photo shoot with the stars of the film and very shortly begin production! stay tuned.

The story of “Crash and Burn” tells of a clash of cultures where the water crisis of Egypt meets the American Dream. Set in Orlando, Florida, a group of Egyptian missionaries find a girl named Sunset who they believe contains the spirit of The Phoenix Bird. The Phoenix is a mythological bird that watched over the rising an falling of the Sun and Nile River. They believe the Phoenix has returned in the body of the girl and is the key to saving the Nile from drying up. However, there are those who wish to use the girl’s power for control and luckily for her an All American Iraqi war veteran named Crash, who has seen how corruption can destroy a civilization and has had enough, rescues her from the clutches of the radical group.

The film is an Allegory about how the best interests of our society can become maliciously turned into corruption and greed and that its up to us as free thinking heart driven people to do what’s right no matter the cost even if it means to Crash and Burn.

Maverick Ran the Idrive 5K and finished with the ranking of 273 out of 896 with a time of 29:44.  Not bad for the hottest race of his career.  Below are pictures and a Zero Dark Chronicle all about the event.

Maverick is running the IDrive 5K run on International Drive in Orlando to help raise awareness for Blood:Water Mission a non-profit organization located in Nashville that is helping to get fresh water wells to the people of Africa.  They were just ravaged by flooding and are helping people there survive the harsh conditions.
